Your privacy is our priority. You have enough stress in medical school and residency. The last thing you need is someone using your private information for purposes other than what you intended. We are here to help students and residents, and to ensure that you have an optimal boards preparation experience. Part of that is process includes respecting, caring for, and protecting your privacy and private information.

 

What information do we collect?

We collect information from you when you register on our site, place an order, or fill out a form on our website.

When ordering or registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your name, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number or credit card information. You may, however, visit our site anonymously.

What do we use your information for?

Any of the information we collect from you may be used in one of the following ways:

1) To personalize your experience
(your information helps us to better respond to your individual needs and requests)

2) To improve customer service
(your information helps us to more effectively respond to your customer service requests and support needs)

3) To process transactions
(your information is used to process your registration)

Your information, whether public or private, will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company for any reason whatsoever, without your consent, and will not be used for anything other than for the express purpose of delivering the purchased product or service requested, and to inform you of updates, program offerings, and other information, deals, and announcements that might be of benefit to you.

4) To send emails and to send hard-copy items related to your program

The email address you provide for order processing will be used to send you information and updates pertaining to your order, and to send items related to use of the services that come with your program. The physical mailing address you provide for order processing will be used to send your program materials. In addition, any emails or physical addresses may be used, from time to time and as appropriate, to send company news, updates, related product or service information, etc.

 

Note: If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, simply email us at the email address on our website or reply to any of our emails, and indicate you no longer wish to receive emails. Please note that electing to not receive emails, however, could seriously impair your ability to take advantage of all program features and to receive opportunities and discounts available through Boards Boot Camp..


How do we protect your information?

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you place an order or enter, submit, or access your personal information.

The registration is conducted through the use of a secure server. All supplied sensitive/credit information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our Payment gateway provider's database only to be accessible by those authorized with special access rights to such systems, and who are required to keep the information confidential.

After a transaction, your private information (credit card numbers.) will be kept on file in order to allow you to purchase, if you so elect, extensions to program services. In all cases, private information is stored in secured files accessible only to a very limited number of authorized, security-cleared individuals. Private information is never stored on our servers, and so is never accessible via the network or the internet.

Do we use cookies?

Yes (Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer's hard drive through your Web browser (if you allow) that enables the sites or service providers systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information)

We use cookies to help us remember and process the items in your shopping cart. We also use cookies to ensure optimal function and interactivity of our online exams. Likewise, the online videos require cookies in order to manage video play for the video currently being viewed.

If you prefer, you can choose to have your computer warn you each time a cookie is being sent, or you can choose to turn off all cookies via your browser settings. Like most websites, if you turn your cookies off, some of our services may not function properly. However, you can still place orders over the telephone, by fax, or by contacting customer service.

Do we disclose any information to outside parties?

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect our or others' rights, property, or safety. However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.

California Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance

Because we value your privacy we have taken the necessary precautions to be in compliance with the California Online Privacy Protection Act. We therefore will not distribute your personal information to outside parties without your consent.

Personal Communications - Privacy Policy

Due to the personalized nature of the customer service and student support services we provide, it is common to communicate via electronic mail regarding scores, study habits, learning disabilities, study plans, science and medicine principles, and any and all other elements that are part of boards preparation. All information shared with Boards Boot Camp by the student is kept confidential and never shared with a third party unless requested to do so, in writing, by the student and customer, with the exception of communications that were at any time carbon copied, blind copied, or otherwise shared with the student's school. If the school is the customer, having directly paid for the student's tuition (or upgrade), scores generated during the course, and progress in the program, at the request of the school, will be provided to the school. However, this only occurs if the school is the customer and is strictly limited to only scores generated and progress made during the course. No other personal or private information, including personal communications, emails, or the content of phone calls between Boards Boot Camp customer service or Boards Boot Camp faculty with the student are shared with any third party, including the student's school, with the exception to communications that have at some point been sent to. shared with, carbon copied or blind copied by the student to a party at their school (regardless of whether the school is customer or not), and with the exception of timelines and other pacing issues/program completion matters as they relate to successful completion of the program and to boards success for students with whom the school is customer, as noted above.
